Northwest Kent Mechanical was started in 1980 by Dale Larson with the help of Irving and Tim Hanna. Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. has since become a family-owned and operated company with a family-oriented atmosphere and a work hard mentality. The company takes a great deal of pride in having the latest technology and equipment in the industry. In 2000, Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. moved into a new 25,000 square foot facility and also added an Engle Coiline. This is the fastest automated duct system available and has allowed Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. to turn some of its fiercest competitors into very valuable customers. Through years of hard work and determination, Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. is one of today's leading Mechanical Contractors in West Michigan having completed over 320 million dollars of Mechanical Installations in the 40 years of service.

The Community
In April of 2017, Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. built a 20 foot tall Clock Tower located in downtown Cedar Springs next to the new Cedar Springs Public Library and across the street from the Cedar Springs Brewing Company. The Clock Tower was a donation given to the city of Cedar Springs by Northwest Kent Mechanical Co. NWK also donated their time and materials to construct a pedestrian bridge over Cedar Creek near the new Cedar Springs Public Library and Clock Tower. We as a company take a great deal of pride in helping out and impacting the community and our customers in a very positive way!
In July of 2018, Northwest Kent Mechanical also donated all labor and material to build two outdoor sand volleyball courts located at Kent City High School. These were donated for use by Kent City Community Schools and the Kent City community.
In 2021, Northwest Kent Mechanical was recognized by Kent City Schools by placing their name on top of the scoreboard. NWK is also a sponsor of Kent City Community Schools.
